China's Jita Semiconductor Establishes New $1B Subsidiary

Chinese chipmaker Jita Semiconductor has established a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai Jita Chuangneng Semiconductor Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 720 million yuan (approximately $1 billion). The new entity is located in the strategic Lingang New Area of Shanghai.

The subsidiary's business scope is broad, covering the sales and distribution of semiconductor devices, technology development, system integration, and import/export operations. This move aims to create an integrated "manufacturing-sales-application" chain.

The parent company, Jita Semiconductor, founded in 2017, specializes in specialty IC manufacturing processes. It is a key supplier of core chips for automotive electronics and industrial control, with existing and planned capacity reaching 300,000 wafers per month (8-inch equivalent). Its technology portfolio includes a strong focus on power IGBTs and third-generation semiconductors like silicon carbide (SiC).
