Nexperia's Dutch headquarters, under the control of the Netherlands government, has published an open letter to its Chinese subsidiaries, urging them to help restore a fractured global supply chain. The letter reveals a severe internal communications breakdown, with the Dutch entity stating that all attempts to re-establish dialogue have gone unanswered.
The crisis stems from the Netherlands government's seizure of Nexperia BV on September 30th. Although headquartered in the Netherlands, the company is ultimately owned by China's Wingtech Technology. The supply chain began to unravel when China suspended exports of Nexperia's finished products in early October. The situation worsened when the Chinese subsidiaries declared independence from European management, prompting the Dutch headquarters to halt shipments of critical wafers from Germany to the packaging facility in Dongguan, China. This move severed a vital production link, as Nexperia relies on a "German wafers, Chinese packaging" model.

The deadlock shows a potential sign of breaking. A recent call between China's Commerce Minister and the EU Trade Commissioner was followed by a push for a corporate-led solution. The public letter from the Dutch entity is seen as a direct attempt to break the impasse.
ICgoodFind: Resolving this internal stalemate is critical for stabilizing the fragile automotive and electronics supply chains that depend on Nexperia's components.
