China's leading memory chipmaker, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), has officially launched its LPDDR5X DRAM product series. The company also revealed it is developing an ultra-thin version with a 0.58mm profile, which would make it the thinnest product in its class upon mass production.

The newly announced LPDDR5X series offers multiple configurations with capacities ranging from 12GB to 32GB and speeds from 8533Mbps up to 10677Mbps. This high-bandwidth, low-power memory is designed for flagship mobile devices, PCs, and automotive electronics, supporting demanding applications like on-device AI and high-resolution video processing.
A company representative also detailed advancements in packaging technology. While its current LPDDR5 uses mainstream Package-on-Package (PoP) technology, CXMT is now developing HiTPoP. This new technology adheres to JEDEC standards for motherboard compatibility and utilizes thinning techniques to address the DRAM performance bottleneck caused by SoC heat, potentially unlocking higher speeds.
