Semiconductor distributor WPG posted strong 2025 results, with revenue reaching $999.1 billion New Taiwan dollars—just shy of the trillion-dollar mark—while net profit surged 39.5% year-over-year. The fourth quarter alone saw net profit skyrocket 752%.

The company credited the performance to the rapid adoption of generative AI, which drove demand across AI infrastructure, servers, power supplies, and networking components. Its AI-related business now accounts for 45% of revenue, up from 35% five years ago. Non-3C segments also gained ground, with automotive and industrial markets climbing from 21% to 27% of total revenue.

For the first quarter of 2026, WPG forecasts revenue between $255 billion and $275 billion NT and net profit ranging from $3.6 billion to $4.2 billion NT.

Citing industry research, WPG noted the global semiconductor market is expected to grow over 30% in 2026, reaching the $1 trillion milestone three years earlier than previously projected. AI processors and memory are the primary drivers, with memory prices potentially rising more than 70% this year amid tight supply.

While memory constraints may impact smartphone and PC shipments, AI phones and AI PCs continue gaining traction, and the AI server market is projected to grow another 17% this year.

ICgoodFind: WPG’s 2025 results show what happens when a distributor rides the AI wave. With AI now 45% of revenue and non-3C markets expanding, growth looks durable.
