Description C1206 Kemet C1206 series X5R and X7R dielectric surface mount capacitors with high maximum operating temperature. The Electronic Components, Components, and Materials Association (EIA) classifies dielectrics as Class II materials. The components in this category are fixed ceramic dielectric capacitors, suitable for bypass and decoupling applications, or for frequency discrimination circuits where Q and stability of capacitance characteristics are not very important. Lead free, RoHS and REACH compliant, temperature stable dielectric non-polar matte tin plated termination # # # 1206 series C0G (NP0) is the most common formula for temperature compensation. It is an EIA Class I ceramic material X7R formula called temperature stable ceramic and belongs to EIA Class II material Y5V formula. It is a general-purpose material within a limited temperature range. These features make Y5V very suitable for decoupling applications.
