Introduction: KEMET Corporation was officially established on December 21, 1990. It is one of the most well-known capacitor manufacturers in the world and holds a leading position in the field of passive electronic technology. The company is located in Greenville, South Carolina, USA, and has production factories in 11 countries including the United States, China, and Mexico. It also has a global sales and distribution network and is now a brand under Israel's Vis. The history of KEMET company actually began a long time ago. Kemet Corporation Laboratory was established by Union Carbide Corporation in 1919 and purchased from Cooper Research Company in Cleveland, Ohio, where they invented a promising high-temperature alloy. The name "KEMET Company" is a mixture of "chemistry" and "metallurgy." KEMET's first product was used for high-temperature alloys in vacuum tubes for power lines. In 1930, the product line expanded to include barium aluminum alloy dry rods, which are the basic elements of every vacuum tube. Until the early 1950s, KEMET Corporation and Bell Laboratories also invented solid tantalum capacitors, which were used in conjunction with low-voltage transistor circuits (semiconductors). Due to the experience of American Union Carbide in high-temperature metals and alloys, it has been selected as the "new product" of KEMET solid tantalum capacitor company to supplement the getter product line and provide vehicles for future development. By the late 1960s, KEMET had clearly established the United States as a major capacitor manufacturer, with a leading market share in solid tantalum capacitors. In order to expand KEMET's product range and allow for continued rapid growth, it has been decided to enter the multi-layer ceramic capacitor business. On December 21, 1990, a group of senior executives from KEMET and investors from Citigroup purchased shares of KEMET, forming the current KEMET company. KEMET's business mainly includes multiple fields such as large-scale industrial applications, new energy, consumer
