Description R82 The Kemet R82 series is a metalized polyester film with radial leads for tin plated wires. The R82 series radial leads are electrically welded to the contact metal layer at the end of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in a self extinguishing solvent resistant plastic casing and made of thermosetting resin material. Typical applications of the R82 series include blocking, coupling, decoupling, timing, and oscillator circuits.
