Description Kestrel 5000 The Kestrel 5000 series blade mounting components and zipper shipping bags feature a simple and durable design. Any Kestrel 5000 series instrument will be clipped onto the mounting piece for installation onto a tripod or other -20 mounting bracket, and an extension rod can be used to obtain wind or airflow readings. This turns the Kestrel instrument into a fully functional weather station with a large wind vane and precision pivot, which can keep Kestrel facing the wind for continuous measurement and recording. The shipping bag can accommodate Kestrel 5000 series instruments and blade mounting components. It has an internal battery ring and a small pocket that can be used to secure additional AA batteries. The buckle at the back of the shipping bag can secure the kit to the user's belt or package. The concept is to create a portable weather station.
