Broadcom has introduced the first complete Wi-Fi 8 chip ecosystem, targeting home gateways, enterprise access points, and mobile devices. Designed specifically for AI-driven edge computing, the new chips enhance connection reliability, energy efficiency, and intelligent performance.

The series includes the BCM6718 for home use, BCM43840/43820 for enterprise, and BCM43109 for mobile—all supporting 320MHz channels and advanced scheduling for lower latency and higher throughput in complex environments. Broadcom will also open Wi-Fi 8 IP licensing to accelerate adoption in IoT and automotive applications.
Compared to Wi-Fi 7, the chips offer 25% lower power consumption in enterprise models and 30% better energy efficiency in home gateways. Integrated telemetry engines collect real-time network data to train AI models, improving user experience and security.
