MPS Unveils MPQ6539-AEC1: Advanced Gate Driver IC

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS, NASDAQ: MPWR) has recently launched the MPQ6539-AEC1, a gate driver IC specifically designed for three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drives. With an input voltage of up to 80V, this automotive-grade device can drive three half-bridges composed of six N-channel power MOSFETs, making it ideal for automotive body motor control applications such as car pumps, electric liftgates, sunroofs, and power seat adjustments.1755154285827432.jpg

Flexible Configuration Options

In addition to three-phase BLDC motor drives, the MPQ6539-AEC1 can drive a single H-bridge with four N-channel MOSFETs. For more complex setups, two MPQ6539-AEC1 devices can be cascaded to drive three H-bridges (12 N-channel MOSFETs), meeting the drive requirements of three brushed DC (BDC) motors.
