Category: Motor and driverDescription: ACS310 fan and pump specific -3-phase input variable speed drive (VSD) has been programmed with parameters, just like all ABB drives, the parameters are divided into logical groups. The software suite inside the drive includes the ability to control multiple pumps and fans in both simple and complex operations. The software also supports extensive cleaning and maintenance functions specific to these applications, and the timer function (when equipped with an auxiliary keyboard) can be used to control the drive at different times. For auxiliary settings, pre-defined macros can be selected, which can configure professional control functions by selecting only one parameter from the list. Macros include some simple and commonly used start/stop configurations, PID control (where device variables can be used to control any measurable variable), PFC (pump and fan control) (which requires sorting multiple pumps to control pressure or flow set points), SPFC (soft pump and fan control) (additional parameters can be set to control the rate of pressure change). The driver also has pre programmed protection functions, such as pipeline cleaning for preventive maintenance. Electric motor control is a scalar control that is particularly suitable for this driver because its software has been developed to effectively control fans and pumps to a professional level. The driver design includes powerful features that benefit both the pump and fan systems and their extended applications in terms of control and protection. Special fan and pump control function logic parameter kit, with short and long views, can be accessed through keyboard to control pump and fan functions, such as pump and fan control (PFC), through input/output or embedded Modbus EIA-485 fieldbus interface.
