555 timer, a series of highly stable high-precision timing circuits from Texas Instruments, used for accurate delay or timing pulses. These timers can operate in either monostable (single trigger) or non-stationary oscillator mode, with a calculation period of less than microseconds to a few minutes. In addition to the original bipolar model, low-power CMOS and LinCMOS variants are also available. These devices support longer timing cycles and significantly reduce power consumption.
