Description 3M™ Embossed copper foil shielding tape 1245 1245 type embossed copper shielding tape has a 1.4-mil embossed copper foil backing, with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and inner lining. Embossing helps achieve better contact through adhesives. Because copper does not have a coating, they are particularly suitable for non corrosive conditions. The embossed extremely soft 1 ounce copper foil backing is conductive through an adhesive. The copper foil backing is weldable and resistant to oxidation and fading. Common applications include grounding and EMI shielding for equipment, components, shielding rooms, etc. When using these shielding tapes, galvanized compatibility should be considered.
