Description Morph-IC-II FPGA The development module Morph-IC-II is a USB based FPGA development module with Altera Cyclone II FPGA and FTDI FT2232H USB to UART/FIFO/MPSE converter IC. The module provides high-speed USB capacity (480M bits/second) integration, with FPGA, and can use FTDI royalty free drivers for ultra fast software based FPGA configuration/reconfiguration and communication. High performance, low-power Altera Cyclone II EP2C5F256C8N FPGA device with a pitch of 124 x 0.1in provides access to 96 inputs/outputs on FPGA and FT2232H modules. USB B-type connector provides connection to PC, JTAG port connector can be used for FPGA boundary scanning, testing, and configuration. VHDL reference design, software examples, and utilities are included. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) FPGA is a semiconductor device that includes a configurable logic block (CLB) matrix connected through programmable interconnects. The user determines these interconnections by programming SRAM. CLB can be simple (such as OR gates) or complex (such as RAM blocks). FPGA allows for design modifications, even after the device is soldered onto a printed circuit board.
