Description LYTSwitch-5 The LYTSswitch-5 series AC-DC converter from Power Integrations is particularly suitable for single-stage power factor correction constant current LED applications, and is also suitable for lamps, tubes, or ballasts. These highly integrated devices include discontinuous mode, variable frequency, variable time controllers, and high-voltage power MOSFETs, in a single compact package, and include advanced thermal control and protection circuits. The efficiency in optimized design is>90%, power factor>0.9, constant current regulation accuracy is better than ± 3%, low THD, high switching frequency and DCM allow the use of small magnets to support step-down, step-down step-up, tap step-down, step-up, isolated and non isolated flyback topologies, non electrolytic large capacity capacitors or optoelectronic isolators, which can extend the service life, improve reliability, input and output overvoltage protection, open circuit protection, thermal control with turn back function, can provide output light hysteresis shutdown under high ambient temperature, and provide protection under fault conditions # # AC-DC converter, Power Integrations
