Description ST1S12xx 0.7A 1.2V Synchronous buck converter with enable function STEVAL-ISA055V1 demonstration board is based on the ST1S12 series of synchronous buck DC-DC converters, optimized for electric low-voltage digital chips that can be used in hard disk drives. It is typically used to replace high current linear solutions when power consumption may cause high heating application environments. It provides an input voltage range of up to 0.7A and 2.5 to 5.5 V. A 1.7MHz high switching frequency can be achieved using miniature surface mount components. The fixed models of 1.2V and 1.8V only require one inductor and two capacitors. By using current mode PWM technology and low ESR surface mount ceramic capacitors, low output ripple can be ensured. ST1S12 is a thermal protection and current limiting device that can prevent damage caused by accidental short circuits.
