By freeing up the CPU, PCI provides higher performance for all running applications. The PCI board is automatically detected and configured by the PC to avoid address and interrupt conflicts. The PCI board automatically implements a shared interrupt system to maximize the utilization of valuable system resources. The Windows device driver that comes with each serial card can read PCI allocation settings and configure your system accordingly. This series of products comes with Vista and Windows drivers, and has plug and play compatibility. PCI 2.3 requires all plug-in cards to support 3.3V signal transmission. To support multiple legacy systems that use 5V signals, the following Brainboxes products are compatible with 3.3V and 5V signals. All boards in this series also share the same specifications: Data bits: 5, 6, 7, or 8 Stop bits: 1 or 2 Parity check: odd, even, marked, none, or space
