Description B&K Precision model 4040B DDS scanning function generator B&K Precision model 4040B is a multi-purpose scanning function generator designed with a dual technology architecture, combining direct digital synthesis (DDS) and low jitter square wave generator. This instrument can generate sine, square, and triangular waveforms, with high signal precision and stability. It provides variable output voltage from 0 to 10 Vpp to 50 Ω (open circuit up to 20 Vpp), linear and logarithmic scanning, AM/FM modulation, and continuously variable DC offset for injecting signals directly into the circuit at the correct bias level. ###Features and advantages: sine, square, triangle/ramp waveform generation for bright color LCD display, with waveform preview, linear and logarithmic scanning, AM/FM modulation, adjustable load cycle, independent DC offset amplifier design that can generate large offset on small amplitude (such as 10 mV) waveforms, storage and calling instrument settings, output on/off buttons, internal/external triggering of gate control and dot shooting modes, built-in counter USB interface, with SCPI compliant command set for short circuit and overvoltage protection on all inputs and outputs. Application areas: Education for other applications that require digital function generators with scanning and modulation functions.
