Description DEHN Data signal surge arrester DEHN is used for industrial process control circuits, protection of low voltage power sources, and input/output of PLC applications using sensors and converters. Combining lightning current and surge arrester for signal and data lines, Activsense technology is designed with a universal base for all yellow line plugs to automatically detect signal voltages from 0 to 180V and adapt to voltage protection levels for optimal performance. LifeCheck monitoring function is integrated to ensure maximum availability and quickly detect damaged arrester power protection devices, used in PLC DC power systems with ultra-thin DIN enclosures. Surge protection equipment, SPD (DIN rail) voltage surge, is often referred to as peak or transient overvoltage, which is usually caused by switch fluorescent lamps, fuse burnout, or nearby lightning activity. The worst voltage surges are usually caused by lightning, with voltages up to 6000V and current surges exceeding 3000A. The maximum value of voltage and current surges caused by lightning strikes depends on the location within the building's wiring system. BS7671: First revised edition in 2011, sections 443 and 534 cover risk assessment and provide guidance on electronic device protection for installation engineers to follow. The BSEN 62305 standard series provides the most comprehensive information on lightning and surge protection.
