Description MOV Module, Roxborough EMC DVSB Dual high-energy electrically isolated metal oxide variable resistors for single-phase and three-phase line protection, modular design for surge and lightning protection, can be directly fastened to the top cap shaped DIN rail for remote operation of contacts, used to protect indicator surge protection devices. SPD (DIN rail) voltage surges are often referred to as peak or transient overvoltages, which are usually caused by switch fluorescent lamps, fuse burnout, or nearby lightning activity. The worst voltage surges are usually caused by lightning, with voltages up to 6000V and current surges exceeding 3000A. The maximum value of voltage and current surges caused by lightning strikes depends on the location within the building's wiring system. BS7671: First revised edition in 2011, sections 443 and 534 cover risk assessment and provide guidance on electronic device protection for installation engineers to follow. The BSEN 62305 standard series provides the most comprehensive information on lightning and surge protection.
