Description A78 The Texas Instruments * * * * μ A78 * * series is a linear voltage regulator that provides fixed output voltages from 2.6 V to 15 V. The three-way voltage regulator provides thermal overload shutdown and internal current limitation. No external components are required, although voltage and current can be adjusted through external devices. The TI positive linear regulator IC generates an output current of 1.5A for the * * μ A78 * * series, producing a current of 0.1A for the * * μ A78L * * model and providing a current output of 0.5A for the * * μ A78M * *. It can be used for various applications, including add-on card adjustment, which eliminates problems that arise with single point adjustment. It is also suitable for telecommunications, computing, and portable device applications. Output current: 1.5 A (* * μ A78xx * *); 0.1 A (* * μ A78Lxx * *) and 0.5 A (* * μ A78Mxx * *) internal thermal overload protection, internal short-circuit current limiting output transistor safe area compensation high power consumption # # # Linear voltage regulator, Texas Instruments fixed and adjustable linear voltage regulator series. This series includes positive and negative electrode devices, with output current ratings ranging from 100mA to 5A.
