Description PL-S, Biax S This series of fluorescent tubes is a component of the non integrated series of compact fluorescent lamps. These lamps consist of parallel narrow fluorescent tubes (welded together near the tube ends) and two or four pin sockets (with special instant starters and capacitors in the housing), which can be used with traditional ballasts. PL-S lights are particularly suitable for hotel, restaurant, home, theater, signage, hallway, safety, and directional lighting applications. Compared with similar light output devices, GLS lamps can usually save 75-80% energy and have a long working life (usually 10000 hours), which is equivalent to reducing maintenance costs.
