Description
MCP39F521 The MCP39F521 power monitoring demonstration board is a fully functional single-phase power and energy monitoring system that can demonstrate the functionality of the MCP39F521 power monitoring IC. This board can be managed via USB on a host PC running the easy-to-use MCP39F511 power monitoring utility software. Users can easily experiment with all system configuration settings, including PWM output frequency, zero crossing detection, and event configuration. Custom calibration settings can be created, requiring only one single point calibration to meet most accuracy requirements. It also provides an automatic calibration process that can be used to quickly calibrate the energy meter and allows users to explore different calibration processes. ###Features: Up to 400 kHz I2C bus displays active, reactive, apparent power, RMS current, RMS voltage, line frequency, imports/exports active and 4-quadrant reactive energy. Event notifications include overcurrent, overcurrent, voltage sag, and voltage surge. The device is configured through PC software, including event notifications, calibration, EEPROM read/write, PWM control, and energy accumulation. When starting/resetting, it is directly connected to 90V-240V AC 15A maximum recommended load. The kit contains 1 MCP39F521 energy metering and power monitoring demonstration board (ADM00686), 1 micro USB cable, 1 line cable, and 1 load cable. Energy/power measurement - Microchip
