Description TE Connectivity PolyZen LS The PolyZen LS series products from TE Connectivity are polymer enhanced precision Zener diode microcontrollers that help protect sensitive electronic devices from damage caused by inductance peaks, voltage transients, incorrect power supply, and reverse bias. The TE Connectivity PolyZen LS series provides resettable protection for multi power fault situations, with a power consumption of only 0.7W. Once a sustained high power state occurs, the PPTC component of the device will trip to limit the current and generate a voltage drop. This feature of the PolyZen LS series can help protect the Zener and subsequent electronic products - further enhancing the power processing capability of the diode. The simulation characteristics that help shield downstream electronic products from overvoltage and reverse bias tripping events and turn off overvoltage and reverse bias source tripping events can minimize upstream inductance peaks to reduce design costs. PolyZen microcontrollers combine with Zener diodes for precise voltage clamping and serve as a resistor nonlinear, aggregated positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) layer, responding to diode heating or overcurrent events through low to high resistance state transitions. ###PolyZen devices
