Description UART)，EXAR Exar Provide multiple UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) with various First In First Out (FIFO) depths, while supporting commonly used Central Processing Unit (CPU) bus interfaces such as 8-bit VLIO. ###UART and USART small universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART) and universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (USART) are typically used for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 according to communication standards such as EIA. It uses data bytes and transmits or receives individual bits in a continuous manner. A modem (modulator/demodulator) modulates analog carrier signals to encode digital information and demodulates signals to decode transmitted information, including UART functionality, for transmission over telephone lines.
