Description TE Connectivity Power Dual Lock (PDL) connector housing is a series of power dual lock (PDL) free hanging plug and socket housings with 3.96mm or 6.5mm centerlines for wire to wire and wire to board applications. These power dual lock (PDL) connectors have a compact design, fully polarized locking, for secure mating, and can be used in conjunction with dual lock plates to help prevent incomplete contact mating. These power dual lock connectors feature a housing locking plate design with no locking plates on the contacts, which helps prevent the contacts from getting tangled with each other. Typical applications of these power dual lock connectors include power circuit applications for refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, gas equipment, copiers, and vending machines. For mating connectors, please refer to the Power Dual Lock Socket (Stock No. 712-2400 Typical). The crimping contacts of these Power Dual Lock (PDL) plugs and socket housings must be purchased separately. The plug housing accepts socket crimping contacts (Stock No. 683-1380 Typical), and the socket housing accepts plug crimping contacts (Stock No. 719-4323 Typical). UL 94V-0 is approved. The TE Connectivity Power Double Lock series TE Connectivity Power Double Lock connectors are designed to be compact for power circuits and are highly suitable for wiring in refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, gas equipment, copiers, and vending machines. These connectors can be used separately by inserting wire terminals into the housing to crimp the bite contacts. However, in order to achieve positive installation, these connectors can be equipped with double locking cover plates, which helps prevent/stop the contacts from matching halfway.
