Description MCMA The series of thyristor and diode modules, IXYS combination high voltage/high current diode and thyristor modules adopt a phase pin configuration, used for industrial power control and rectification applications. Durable equipment packaged in industrial standard isolation packaging, suitable for surface mounting. ###Thyristor - IXYS Thyristor is a solid-state semiconductor device with four alternating layers of N-type and P-type materials. They act as bistable switches, functioning when their gates receive current triggers and continuing to function when in forward bias. Thyristor is synonymous with silicon controlled rectifier (SCR). Sealed module with electrical isolation base plate. Suitable for applications such as battery chargers, welding machines, electroplating equipment, as well as voltage regulators, temperature and speed control circuits.
