Description 78K0/Lx3 The 78K series microcontroller from Renesas, an 8-bit microcontroller, is widely used. 78K0/Lx3 8-bit microcontroller with 78KO core CPU, embedded flash memory, on-chip oscillator, and built-in high-precision A/D converter. Its low power consumption (as low as 2.3 μ A typical sub HALT mode) makes it particularly suitable for LCD control applications. Some applications include APS cameras, digital cameras, home audio, air conditioning, and washing machines. Important features: Operating voltage: VDD=1.8 V to 5.5 V Maximum frequency: 10 MHz ROM capacity: 8 KB to 60 KB Flash RAM capacity: 512 B to 1 KB (78K0/LC3 and 78K0/LD3) Internal high-speed RAM 768 B to 1 KB/Internal expansion RAM 1 KB (78K0/LE3 and 78K0/LF3) 48 pin/64 pin plastic LQFP package Shortest instruction execution time can be changed from high-speed (0.2 μ s: @ 10 MHz operation, using high-speed system clock) to ultra-low speed (122 μ s: @ 32.768 kHz operation, using subsystem clock) Universal registers: 8 x 32-bit registers (8 x 8-bit registers x 4 groups) on-chip single power flash self programming (with 4 groups) Start switch function) on-chip debugging function on-chip power on clear (POC) circuit and low voltage detector (LVI) on-chip monitoring timer (can be operated using internal low-speed oscillation clock) LCD Controller/Driver (switchable between external and internal resistor partitions) on-chip segmented key scanning function: 8-channel on-chip key interrupt function: 8-channel on-chip buzzer output controller input/output ports: 30/34/46/62 Timer: 9-channel 16 bit timer/event counter: 1-channel 8-bit timer/event counter: 3-channel 8-bit timer: 3-channel real-time counter (RTC): 1-channel monitoring timer: 1-channel serial interface: 2-channel UART (supporting LIN (Local Interconnect Network) bus): 1-channel UART: 1-channel 16 bit Delta Sigma type A/D converter: 3-channel (only for μ PD78F046x) 10 bit successive approximation type A/D converter: 6-channel (only for μ PD78F041x) 8 channels (limited to μ PD78F045x and 78F046x only)
