Description TE Connectivity 3.5 mm MULTILOCK 070 The MULTILOCK 070 series of automotive connectors features a micro design. Used for line to line and line to board applications in automobiles. These MULTILOCK 070 series products feature a compact design, high-density 3.5mm contact center, durability, and ease of handling. These MULTILOCK 070 automotive connectors can protect the contacts from damage caused by the swinging effect (KOJIRI effect) during the mating and plugging stages. The MULTILOCK 070 plug and socket housing features a locking plate design, allowing for the use of spear free contacts. The use of spear free contacts can avoid entanglement and deformation of locking plates. The main feature of these Multilock 070 connectors is the locking mechanism. The standard MULTILOCK 070 plug and socket housing has an integrated dual locking mechanism on the online side, which ensures secure contact fixation. The MULTILOCK 070 MK II plug housing has a locking mechanism, including a 2-piece double locking plate for securing the contacts and preventing partial insertion. The MULTILOCK 070 series automotive connectors include plug and socket housings and PCB needle sockets, designed for wire to wire and wire to board applications. The plug housing requires a female pressure contact core, while the socket housing requires a male plug contact.
