Description Schaffner FN5040 / FN5045 The FN5040/FN5045 series output filters from Schaffner can eliminate premature motor damage caused by high DV/DT, overvoltage, cable oscillation, motor overheating, and low eddy current losses. The output filter converts the conventional PWM output voltage driven by the motor into a smooth sine wave with low residual ripple. Typical applications include HVAC, water pumps, ventilation fans, conveyors, compressors, elevators, cranes, and electric motor drives.
