Description dsPICDEM SMPS The voltage reduction development board provides a simple and economical way to evaluate dsPIC30F202x/1010 SMPS and digital power conversion series components, as well as a teaching and prototyping platform to investigate digital power conversion and digital switch mode power supply (SMPM) design. This board includes the inserted dsPIC30F2020 device, which is connected to power supply equipment and circuits for controlling dual independent low-power DC to DC synchronous buck converter circuits, as well as supporting, debugging, and communication circuits. The buck converter can operate in synchronous or asynchronous mode with an input voltage range of+7V to+15V (rated+9V). Users can enable dynamic output loads and investigate instantaneous response. User potentiometers can simulate application functions such as voltage fine-tuning, remote voltage sensing, voltage tracking, current sharing, etc. MPLAB ® ICD 2 or REAL ICE supports ready to use RS-232 serial channel sample software for implementing digital dual synchronous buck converters.
