Description MCP19117 The Microchip MCP19117 Flyback Independent Evaluation Board is a platform for exploring MCP19117 PWM controllers (with analog circuits and PIC microcontroller cores). The board is configured to use a flyback topology to regulate the load current. Accompanied by various required circuits for work demonstration, MCP19117 is pre programmed with all necessary firmware. The Microchip PMBus monitoring graphical user interface (GUI) is used to monitor and configure MCP19117. In addition, MCP19117 can be reprogrammed using user designed firmware through onboard serial programming (ICSP) sockets. The fully functional MCP19117 is a digital enhanced PWM controller. This device integrates an 8-bit PIC microcontroller and a PWM current mode controller to provide flexible and customizable buck or buck/boost controller solutions. The PWM controller can adjust the output of the DC-DC converter, and the MCU can dynamically customize the device.
