Description Hall effect switches, Infineon standard and latch type operations use a large number of Infineon Hall effect switch ICs. # # # Hall effect sensors, Infineon's series of Infineon integrated circuits utilize the Hall effect to implement non-contact switching and sensing functions. Hall effect integrated circuits are divided into three basic categories: linear sensors, switches, and latches. Linear sensors have a linear analog output proportional to the magnetic field strength, while Hall effect switches and latches have a switch output that can be activated by magnetic field proximity. The latch switch requires magnetic fields of opposite polarity to activate and deactivate the switch output separately. Hall effect switches also have 2-wire current level operation.
