Description Distance measurement sensors, Sharp Sharp's range of distance measurement sensors utilize infrared emitters and photodetectors with integrated signal processing circuits. The device provides analog or switching (digital) outputs and includes fixed and variable distance sensors. The installation styles include two hole surface fixation and through-hole printed circuit board type. The sensing distance covered ranges from 4 cm to 550 cm. Typical applications include automation, robotics, and automotive applications, contactless switching, and object detection in safety systems. The analog output type can generate output voltage related to distance. The digital output type switches at a specified target distance and is insensitive to the color of the target object without the need for other external control circuits
