Description TE Connectivity FASTON 187 Ultra-Fast The FASTON 187 series Ultra Fast reinforced fully insulated plug and socket crimping terminal is designed to prevent electric shock and short circuit hazards caused by exposed wires. When the plug and socket are connected, they are completely enclosed by the shell. Tin plated copper alloy FASTON inserts and socket contacts are recessed into the housing, allowing the terminal blocks to be used in 600V applications. The conduit parts of the socket, plug and housing are made of 6/6 nylon. The insulation sleeve is made of high-grade nylon with minimal rebound, which can maintain the insulation crimping shape and provide stress relief in high vibration environments. These FASTON 187 ultra fast enhanced insulated terminal blocks can terminate solid, fused stranded wires ranging from 22 AWG to 14 AWG, with wire and plug size specifications indicated on the housing. The nylon shell is transparent and can be visually inspected for end connections. The funnel-shaped entrance allows wires to be connected to prevent the wire harness from retracting and allows for quick insertion of wires during high-speed production. The slot in the socket housing film allows for the use of shoulder plug types. The concave groove on the internal shell, secondary roll up configuration, and socket terminal block for cantilever installation can provide positive access and contact points for the mating plug even in blind matching positions. ###Features and advantages: Fully insulated, used to prevent electric shock and short circuit hazards.
