Description Amphenol Spectra-Strip, Spectra-Zip, Halogen Free Planar Cable, 1.27mm Pitch Amphenol Spectra-Strip"s Low Smoke - Halogen Free Spectra-Zip cable is extruded with flame retardant non-halogenated materialsand is ideal for use in closed environments where ventilation is limited such as underground trains, elevators and ships. These Spectra-Strip Zip cables are designed to reduce the generation of toxic and corrosive gases that are emitted from typical PVC insulated cables during combustion. These gases can injure personnel enclosed within these confined spaces and can also corrode delicate components within electronic equipment. 1.27mm pitch compatible with IDC connectors Reduced generation of toxic gases during combustion Highly flame retardant (limiting oxygen index 39%) ### The main advantage of recognizing UL # # # halogen-free ribbon cables is that halogen-free insulated flat cables are safer than PVC insulated wires in the event of a fire. No corrosive gases appear, and the density of industrial gases is very low. The cable pitch is standard 1.27mm and can be used in conjunction with standard IDC sockets.
