XS1-L1 The processor development kit XK-1A is an economical development board designed to explore event driven processor designs based on XS1-L1 devices. Multiple XK-1A boards can be connected on one link, and two input/output expansion areas are provided for XK-1A to connect other components. Design files for optional expansion board samples, including SD card readers, Bluetooth adapters, and control cards. Single XS1-L1 device, 400MIPS eight thread 64K byte RAM, 8K byte OTP memory, 128KB SPI flash memory, 4 user configurable LEDs, 2 button switches, 2 20 way XSYS connectors, used for XTAG-2 debugging adapter and additional XK-1A 2 16 way IDC sockets, used for connecting other components, 24 GPIO users. The execution of threads is deterministic and can accurately predict the time required to execute a series of instructions. This makes it possible for software executed on XCore to implement various functions typically accomplished by hardware, particularly DSP and input/output. Each XCore thread has a dedicated set of registers and is hardware implemented for thread scheduling. Implement communication between threads through hardware channels.
