Description RS-232 Line transceiver, dual channel, Texas Instruments series of RS-232 line transceivers that meet or exceed the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU v.28 standards. These devices typically include ESD protection up to ± 15 kV (human-machine model), ± 8 kV (contact discharge), and most include charge pump circuits to allow operation from a single 3 V to 5.5 V power supply.
