Description ADP2442 36V 1A Synchronous step-down DC to DC regulator with external clock synchronization ADP2442-EVALZ evaluation board is a complete DC to DC switch regulator design. ADP2442 is a constant frequency, current mode PWM controlled, synchronous, buck, DC to DC regulator that can drive up to 1A loads and has excellent line and load regulation characteristics. ADP2442 has a wide input voltage range, making it particularly suitable for regulating various power sources. In addition, it has a minimum on-time (50ns), making it suitable for applications that require very high voltage drop rates. ADP2442 can be configured for small load pulse skipping mode or forced PWM mode. The power switch and synchronous rectifier are integrated, with a small number of external components and high efficiency. ADP2442 is optimized for operation with small ferrite core inductors and ceramic capacitors, providing maximum output power per square millimeter in the printed circuit board (PCB) area. ADP2442-EVALZ provides 5V (1A output) and the switching frequency is set to 500kHz. The ADP2442 full-featured evaluation board can be configured with synchronous step-down DC to DC switching regulator operating voltage range: VIN=6V to 36V output voltage: 5V or adjustable 1A maximum load switching frequency: 500kHz or 300kHz to 1MHz adjustable switching frequency small load power-saving mode precision enable input pin current limiting protection power supply normal output synchronous/mode pin, used for external synchronization or mode selection 53 x 53 mm board size # # Switching regulator, Analog Devices Various switching regulators operate in boost (boost), buck (drop), and reverse voltage modes.
