Description Vishay NTC Thermistor 0.5W 640 Series Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor (NTC) is a semiconductor resistor whose resistance decreases with temperature (due to Joule effect, ambient temperature, or a combination of both) at zero power consumption. Some of the main applications of thermistors are temperature measurement and inspection (thermometers, thermostats, and sensors), current traction limiters, and temperature compensation circuits for transistor circuits.
