Description TE Connectivity Standard spring finger contacts, also known as shield springs, grounding springs, or universal grounding contacts, provide grounding between equipment and printed circuit boards and are shielded to prevent EMI noise and static electricity caused by any vibrations in motors, speakers, microphones, or applications. Other functions of spring contacts include antenna feeding, low-voltage electrical connections, and they can also be used as connections for simple stacking applications between primary and secondary printed circuit boards. These standard spring contacts are gold-plated and have an uncompressed height of 1.7mm, with a working height of 0.5 to 1.4mm. These standard spring contacts feature a compact design that saves printed circuit board space, provides design flexibility, and offers highly reliable connections. Typical applications of these standard spring contacts include mobile phones, wearable devices, game consoles, tablets, patient monitoring devices, POS scanners, security devices, and GPS devices.
