Description MCP45HVx1 The Microchip MCP45HVx1 series devices are digital potentiometers with SPI interface and onboard volatile memory. This device series has dual power rails, one analog and one digital. The analog power rail can handle up to+36 V voltage and can be used as a dual track (± 18 V) relative to digital logic ground. MCP45HVx1 has a write latch (WLAT) function, which can suppress volatile brush registers from updating (latch) through received data until the WLAT pin is low. This can update the condition specifications of the volatile brush register (such as zero crossing). ###Features: High voltage simulation support:+36 V terminal voltage range (DGND=V -), ± 18 V terminal voltage range (DGND=V -+18 V) Wide operating voltage: analog 10 V to 36 V, digital 2.7 V to 5.5 V or 1.8 V to 5.5 V (DGND ≤ V -+0.9 V) Single resistor network resistor network resolution: 7 bits: 127 resistors (128 taps) or 8 bits: 255 resistors (256 taps) - depending on the model High terminal/brush current (IW) support: 25 mA (for 5 k Ω), 12.5 mA (for 10 k Ω), and 6.5 mA (for 50 k Ω and 100 k Ω) Zero scale to full scale brush operation Low brush resistance: 75 Ω (typical) Low temperature coefficient: Absolute value (variable resistance) 50 ppm, proportional (potentiometer) 15 ppm (typical) SPI serial interface resistor network terminal through closed pin (SHDN) Or disconnect the connection terminal control (TCON) register and write the latch (WLAT) pin, used to control the update of volatile brush registers (such as zero crossing), power on reset/power off reset, used for digital and analog power serial interface inactive current (3 uA typical) 500 kHz typical bandwidth (-3 dB) operation (5.0 k Ω device) # # # Digital potentiometer - Microchip
