Description 16 The Linear Technology series of digital to analog converters includes voltage output DAC, multiplied current output D-A converters, and special function digital to analog converters. This product series has a 16 bit resolution and offers single channel to multi-channel options with serial SPI, I2C, or parallel interfaces. Special features on some products include software selectable output range (SoftSpan), reset to zero scale when powered on, intermediate scale or Hi-Z options, and integrated high-precision reference. The 16 bit high-precision current output analog-to-digital converter series allows you to choose external amplifiers that do not rely on buffered references, such as the high linearity voltage output rail to rail DAC type shown. The SoftSpanTM feature allows software to select output ranges without the need to add precision gain stages and related external jumpers, precision resistors, and amplifier circuits. Integrated precision resistors allow for reference reversal, bipolar bias, bias, and gain adjustment. Voltage output buffering and non buffering rail to rail D-A converters can work well in a wide range of open-loop or closed-loop systems, with adjustable gain, bias, and many other signals.
