Diodes has expanded its AH371xQ series of automotive‑qualified Hall‑effect latches, designed for low‑magnetic‑threshold, bipolar‑switching motor control applications such as BLDC motors, valve drives, rotary encoders, window lifts, sunroofs, tailgates, seat adjusters, cooling fans, pumps, and speed detection. The AH3711Q uses a dedicated Hall plate architecture for high‑precision position sensing.

The latch offers a ±10 Gauss wide magnetic operating/release point range , enabling smaller, lower‑cost magnets and reduced BOM. It operates from 3V to 27V and includes reverse‑blocking diodes, output overcurrent/zener clamps, and 40V load‑dump protection. ESD ratings : 8kV HBM, 1kV CDM.
A chopper‑stabilized architecture minimizes switch‑point drift from ‑40°C to +150°C. Typical power‑on time is 13µs . An open‑drain output supports flexible high/low voltage pull‑ups. Packages: SOT23, SC59, SIP‑3 . A general‑purpose AH3711 (non‑automotive) is also available.
ICgoodFind: Diodes’ new automotive Hall latch combines high sensitivity and rugged protection, cutting system cost for BLDC and position sensing applications.
