Shenzhen University President Xu Bo said the school will drive talent cultivation and core technology breakthroughs for the Greater Bay Area’s electronics industry. A B.S.–M.S.–Ph.D. pipeline will focus on RFICs, optoelectronic heterogeneous integration, and integrated systems.

Two major platforms were announced: a heterogeneous integration process line (built over three years) and an RF electronic system design LLM that brings AI‑powered design automation to RF chips.

The school signed MOUs with ZTE Microelectronics, Biwin, Huada Jiutian, Xinhe Semiconductor, and CETC‑13, among others, to deepen collaboration in chip design, EDA, device R&D, and advanced packaging.
