Global semiconductor sales reached $69.47 billion in September, a significant 25.1% increase compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). Sales also grew by 7.0% compared to August.

The recovery showed clear regional variation. The Asia-Pacific and Americas regions led the growth, with year-over-year increases of 47.9% and 30.6%, respectively. Japan was the only region to see a decline. For the entire third quarter, global sales totaled $208.4 billion, a strong 15.8% sequential increase from the previous quarter, with the Americas again posting the highest growth at 22.2%.
