The AMD-Lenovo alliance is already yielding significant outcomes. In March, the two companies announced plans to advance their collaboration on AI PCs and AI servers. This has materialized in a jointly launched AI server powered by DeepSeek's large language model, which set a record throughput of 6,708 tokens per second on a single machine. The partnership is critical for serving global cloud and AI giants like Microsoft and Meta, building comprehensive AI infrastructure from cloud to edge to endpoint.

Dr. Su emphasized that China is AMD's second-largest market, contributing 24.2% of the company's 2024 revenue. AMD has made substantial local investments, with its Greater China R&D centers employing over 4,000 engineers and dedicated AI Centers of Excellence established in cities like Beijing. Its EPYC processors power more than 340 cloud instances for top Chinese cloud service providers, and its China AI Application Innovation Alliance includes over 100 ISV partners, including major players like Tencent and DingTalk, with plans to expand to 170 by the end of 2025.
