GigaDevice's GD32G5 series of high-performance microcontrollers has won the "Microcontroller/Interface Product of the Year" award at the World Electronics Achievement Awards 2025, recognizing its technical excellence and market impact in the competitive MCU landscape.
The award-winning series is built around an Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, reaching a 216 MHz clock speed. It achieves a remarkable 316 DMIPS and a 694 CoreMark® score, boosted by an integrated DSP accelerator, FPU, and TMU. The MCUs also feature 256KB-512KB embedded Flash and 128KB SRAM with full-area ECC, alongside robust security features like AES encryption and secure boot.

Equipped with 4x 12-bit ADCs, 8x timers, and 3x CAN-FD interfaces, the GD32G5 is tailored for demanding applications such as digital power supplies, humanoid robots, EV charging piles, and energy storage inverters. Its compact 4x4mm WLCSP81 package enables high-density designs, allowing a single chip to control 3-4 motors—making it ideal for multi-joint robotic applications.
Supported by a comprehensive development ecosystem and capable of operating in -40°C to 105°C environments, the series helps accelerate time-to-market for industrial innovations. Samples and development boards are now available, with mass production scheduled for December.
ICgoodFind: This award validates GigaDevice's growing influence in the global MCU market, offering a powerful, secure, and scalable alternative for next-generation industrial applications.
