The M5 integrates neural acceleration units into every GPU core, working alongside an upgraded 16-core Neural Engine to comprehensively accelerate AI workloads. Overall graphics performance rises by 30%, with ray tracing capabilities surging up to 45%. Memory bandwidth also grows to 153GB/s, a near-30% improvement.

The chip now powers the 14-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Apple Vision Pro, enabling faster creation of spatial photos, personalized Personas, and smoother local execution for Apple Intelligence.

ICgoodFind : Apple’s M5 strengthens its leadership in on-device AI, combining specialized neural hardware and memory architecture to guide future chip design.
