At the main summit of the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, a heavyweight announcement quickly ignited industry enthusiasm. Qiu Yuepeng, Vice President of Tencent Group and President of Tencent Cloud, officially stated that Tencent has completed comprehensive adaptation of mainstream domestic chips and is actively participating in open-source community development to deliver in-depth contributions through its involvement.
Tencent Cloud has long regarded full-stack optimization of software-hardware synergy as a key focus of its long-term strategic investment. Leveraging the strong software capabilities of its heterogeneous computing platform, Tencent Cloud has successfully integrated different types of chip resources, delivering cost-effective AI computing power to the market and providing strong support for solving the industry’s computing power challenges.
Tang Daosheng, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent Group and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industry Business Group, further explained the new path for enterprise growth at the conference. He pointed out that "seeking industrial efficiency through intelligence and revenue scale through globalization" has become the two core drivers for enterprises to achieve growth today. In line with this trend, Tencent is fully building two efficiency engines—"intelligence" and "globalization"—to help enterprises move forward steadily and achieve sustainable development.
Focusing on the field of intelligence, Tencent Cloud officially released the Tencent Cloud Intelligent Agent Strategy Panorama at the conference, fully opening up its AI capabilities without reservation while sharing its advantageous scenarios in both C-end and B-end businesses. Through upgrades to three key segments—Intelligent Agent solutions, SaaS + AI, and large model technology—Tencent Cloud aims to deeply stimulate enterprises’ innovation vitality, practice the "people-oriented" concept, and build truly "easy-to-use AI". This will enable AI to serve everyone in scenarios accurately, effectively meet diverse needs, significantly improve work efficiency, optimize interaction experiences, and even provide emotional value.
During the media exchange session at the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, Tang Daosheng revealed that Tencent is conducting in-depth cooperation and adaptation with multiple chip manufacturers. Due to the wide variety of models and varying chip configuration requirements for different application scenarios, Tencent will continue to expand its cooperation scope with various manufacturers. He emphasized that Tencent is focusing on deepening its efforts in the software field and is committed to accurately matching the most suitable hardware for different scenarios.
ICgoodFind’s Take: Tencent’s adaptation of domestic chips is expected to accelerate industrial integration, drive improvements in the cost-effectiveness of AI computing power, and inject new vitality into industry development.
